What To Not EVER (under any circumstances) Say To A Fangirl!

Hi everyone! About two weeks ago I made a post about "What not to say to the 5sos fam". Today I've decided to do a more inclusive, more general post. So, here is "What not to EVER (under any circumstances) say to a fangirl":
  • It's just a book/TV show/movie/band etc.
  • You're wasting your time.
  • They did a follow spree when you were asleep/in school.
  • They don't even know you exist.
  • Uh I hate *insert fandom here*
  • OMG that one is your favourite, they're so ugly.
  • This has the most predictable plot line ever!
  • OMG it's just a fictional character they aren't real!
  • *spoils plot*
  • Stop crying over the deaths of fictional characters!
  • They will never love you!
  • Fanfiction is so weird!
  • Calm down!
  • This is just a phase.
  • The tickets are all sold out.
  • They aren't coming over here on their tour.
  • You can't have a crush on a fictional character - they're not real.
  • They're not even gay you can't ship them.
  • Why do you have seven OTPs if it say in OTP that you're only supposed to have one?
  • Waiting a week for another episode to come out isn't that long.
  • Don't you have enough merch?

It really get me when people say these things - please stop, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND! Uh, some people are just...
Are there any things that I missed out that really annoy you? If so let me know in the comments below! Also are there any particular fandoms I should one of these on next time, like Potterheads or Whovians? If you have any suggestions leave them in the comments! :)

Well, thanks for reading... And until next time... Bye!

P.S. Can we also just appreciate that I didn't end up spamming my Tumblr with depressing Alan Rickman posts! Yay me! I managed to avoid Tumblr and actually do something productive for once. I deserve a gold star! - if you have no idea what I'm talking about then click here to see my last post, it should clear things up for you. :)

My Reaction To The Death Of Alan Rickman

I found out when I was sitting on the bus on my way home from school. I had had mocks (exams) that day and was glad to be going home. The girl I was sitting next to on the bus was scrolling through Instagram and came across a post, she read it and then said, "Aww, he died!" I turned to look at the phone screen in her hand. The post was captioned 'RIP Alan Rickman' with a picture of Alan beside a picture of Snape (who he portrayed in the Harry Potter movies). I was winded. Speechless. No words. I opened my mouth, but no sound came out. The girl next to me continued scrolling through her feed and I began contemplating what I had just seen. A cruel internet hoax, perhaps? Alas, it was not. I came home and went to my room to take some time to get my head around it. I didn't even know the man, so why did it feel like I had lost a close friend? Maybe it's because of the role I knew him best for was Snape, from Harry Potter. After all I consider Harry Potter to be my childhood, perhaps that's why when Alan died it affected me so much? I had lost a piece of my childhood.

Then the messages from my friends came pouring in. One was going on and on about how painful it was and how upset she was while one of my other friends was in complete denial. All it took was one picture. The tears began spilling out of my eyes uncontrollably.

I spent the rest of my evening alone in my room with some form of grieving going on. Just scrolling through all the tweets from the Harry Potter cast and from others paying their respects. Later I built myself a blanket fort and sat with my laptop on my knees with a  Harry Potter movie playing on the screen. All I needed was a tub of ice cream and I would have been emo af. Damn my obsession with fandoms and fictional characters! Have I taken it too far this time? I mean like I said I didn't even know Alan... Well at least not personally, but I feel in a way I do know him just through the character he played... Too far? Im not crazy I swear, it's just a 'fangirl thing'! Perhaps I just tell myself that in order to preserve my already limited sanity? Either way for those of you who follow me on tumblr be prepared for endless unnecessarily depressing Snape posts, unless I actually get myself a social life (can you find them on eBay?)!

That is a brief summary of my reaction to the death of Alan Rickman. What was your reaction to the news and what is your favourite role he has ever played, let me know in the comments.

If you have any suggestions on what you want me to react to next, preferably something a little less depressing, then leave them in the comments

Anyway... until next time... Bye!

What Not To Say To The 5SOS Fam!

Being part of the 5sos fam I thought it would be a fun idea to compile a list of things not to say to the 5sos fam. That way people who aren't in the fandom will not what not to say to avoid being murdered by a dedicated fangirl. So, I present : What not to say to a member of the 5sos fam:

  • 5 Es oh Es!
  • Michaels so ugly!
  • My favourite song is 'She Looks So Perfect'. (If that's because it's one of the only songs you know then please stop)
  • They don't know you exist.
  • That's such a stupid band name.
  • Why are they called '5 Seconds of Summer' if there are only four of them?
  • I love that boy band.
  • They're British right?
  • They try too hard to be punk rock! (unless you're in the fam then you don't have the right)
  • Is that one Asian? (Unless you're in the fandom stop referring to Calum as Asian)
  • They are just a band! (They will never be just a band)
  • You have enough merch. (That's not a thing)
  • Why do you ship them together?
  • Uh why do you even like them?
  • I've never even heard of them.
  • It was just a tally, calm down it's not the end of the world that it's gone!
  • Keep cutting Ashton! (why would anyone say this? It's not funny and it's horrible.)
  • 5th Harmony is my life (due to recent events I would avoid this)!
  • 5sos don't care about their fans.
  • 5sos don't care about the music they're in it for the money and the sex (bish whet did you just say? That's why they worked so hard on their album writing important songs to relate to their fans in topics such as divorce and being a reject/ outcast - you know the sort of things that most artists avoid).
  • So... About that Rolling Stone article... (OK that's it I'm going to punch you in the face, JUST NO!
I think on that note I'll end it. If you're in the fam let me know if you agree with any of these in the comments and also let me know if I missed any. For those who are not in the 5sos fam I recommend never saying any of these things to a member of the fam unless you want to be brutally murdered!

Also if you want me to make one of these lists for a different fandom then leave your suggestions in the comments.

So... Till next time... Bye!

How To Become A Fangirl

Hallo and Happy 2016 everyone! Hope this will be a fantastic year for you. As this is my first post of 2016 I wanted you all to relate to my blog a bit more. As you may or may not know, my blog is a fangirl blog so... You see what I'm hinting at here?

Well, then I have orchestrated (me and my fancy words ;D   ) an 'official' guide instructing how to become a fangirl!
Before you begin please read the following 'Terms and Conditions':

  • I do not accept the responsibility of fandoms destroying any of the following: your 'feels'; your social life; your exam results; your sanity; your bank account; your innocence (depends on the fandom you join); etc.
  • I do not accept the responsibility of the content you view due to being in your chosen fandom (don't come to me complaining how you are scarred for life when you read your first fanfic that contains smut - sorry not sorry!)
  • Now that you have 'read' my T&Cs you may continue at your own risk!

It is very simple to become a fangirl! It is maintaining this high standard of dedication that is difficult! To begin with:

  1. Choose a fandom - there are lots and lots of fandoms out there. If you have read a book or watched a TV show or listened to an artist then there is probably a fandom dedicated to it/them. The most important thing about choosing your fandom is that you must enjoy what you picked. You could be like me and be a fan of more than one thing, this means you could be part of multiple fandoms, that's perfectly fine!
  2. Do your research- basically watch hours of your life disappear before your eyes on your quest to find out everything you could possibly know about this fandom - didn't say this would be easy! (Before doing this make sure you are up to date especially if it's a TV show in case you stumble across the dreaded SPOILERS!). It's also important to learn your fandom name: 5sos fam (5 Seconds of Summer), phandom (Dan and Phil), liar (Pretty Little Liars)! Fandoms will often have inside jokes or terms! Such as OMH means Oh My Hemmings in the 5sos fam!
  3. Follow the right people - simply go onto social media and follow them (the band, author of the book, producer of the TV show etc.)! Then follow update accounts and fan accounts (only do this if you're up to date in case of spoilers).
  4. Learn the language - if you want to know what half the stuff that these fan accounts say you're going to have to learn how to speak fangirl. Not to worry I got you covered, click here for my ultimate guide on how to speak fangirl.
  5. Join the fan account world - make a Tumblr or other form of blog (like mine) dedicated to your fandom/fandoms!
  6. Maintain your dedicated blog - this is the hard part, you now must maintain this blog. I recommend posting edits or fanfic or even rants!
  7. Begin to express yourself- basically buy all the merch that you possibly can that relates to your fandom: posters, albums, box sets, t-shirts, jumpers, sweaters, sweats, necklaces, earrings, jewellery, shoes, snapbacks, beanies, pretty much anything to do with your fandom!
  8. Share opinions- for fangirls this basically means shoving your opinion in people's faces. Also if they don't like your fandom for whatever reason then 'block and report' them, basically never talk to them again because they are clearly stupid if they can't see how amazing *insert chosen fandom here* is!
  9. Do what it takes - being part of your chosen fandom involves you doing what it takes in order to be a good fangirl! For example, I am a ringer (part of the Tolkien fandom - 'Lord of the Rings' and 'The Hobbit') and I am midway through a course to learn Elvish!
  10. Enjoy it - that's why fangirls fangirl! They enjoy it, they are passionate about their fandoms and want to share that with the world. Enjoying it is the most important thing about being a fangirl!

That my friends is how you become a fangirl! I hope this helps you on your way to becoming an obsessive fangirl who has no money because her fandoms stole her money, while they were stealing her social life and ultimately her soul! If you have any more tips on how to be a fangirl then leave them in the comments below because I'd love to hear your thoughts. Also don't take this post too seriously it's intended to be more of a light hearted post!

Love ya all and till next time... Bye!
